Courses (Workshop)

back bending workshop
Our spines are an incredible combination of strength and flexibility – of Sthira and Sukha. Strong bones and large muscles give us structure and protect sensitive nerves while flexible ligaments and tendons allow the spine to move in all different planes.
Backbends can be broadly divided into three categories
1. Traction
Where the body is bending with gravity and the muscles on the front of the body are active, helping to control the range and rate of movement. These are poses such as Camel Pose (Ustrasana) or dropping back to Wheel (Urdhva Dhanurasana).
2. Leverage
Where the strength of the arms or legs are used to deepen the backbend, Poses like Bow (Danurasana) or Cobra (Bhujangasana).
3. Contraction
Where the muscles on the back contract to overcome gravity. These are generally poses where you are lying on your front such as Locust (Salabhasana).
The workshop will give and enhance a strong foundation to explore back bending. Whatever your level of mobility or experience you’ll find this workshop really useful!

handstand workshop
Our body can do amazing stuff beyond our knowing.
And practicing handstand is one of them.
It is one of those practices that make you excited as well as doubtful about it.
Unlike other exercises, handstands train you to improve your balance, deepen your control, make your upper body stronger and well-coordinated.
On a mental level, it expands your horizon, perceptions, experiences as well as redefine your fears in an extraordinary way.
Practice well, safe and progressively helps make you a better person in your other pursuits in life.
While performing a great handstand is certainly a worthy goal unto itself, you’ll find that the skills you build in the process will transfer over into your other training, making you a better athlete and enhancing your quest toward a better body and a fuller life.
Because it grows you as a human being.

Headstand workshop
Mastering the headstand requires no great strength. It is largely a matter of conquering fear and believing you can do it.
The headstand (sirshasana in Sanskrit) is also called the king of asanas as the posture has so many benefits for your body and mind. By reversing the normal effects of gravity, it rests the heart, aids circulation and relieves pressure on the lower back. A regular headstand practice helps to prevent back problems and improves memory and concentration. Inverting the body also deepens the breath, bringing a fresh supply of oxygen-rich blood to the brain. The key to balance is the tripod formed by elbows and hands
